equipment
Serious depth training requires equipment that performs consistently under pressure. At Alchemy Freediving Center, all operational tools are selected and configured to support technical precision, efficiency of movement, and controlled exposure to depth. Divers train within an environment where equipment reliability is treated as a fundamental component of progression.
CARBON FINS
Propulsion efficiency plays a decisive role in depth training. Divers operate with Alchemy carbon fins available in multiple stiffness profiles and sizes from EU 36 to EU 49. Proper configuration reduces unnecessary muscular load, improves hydrodynamic efficiency, and supports consistent ascent and descent rhythm during structured sessions.
Depth Line System
Few training environments would justify spending a small fortune on a single rope, but at serious depth reliability is not optional. Constructed with a Dyneema® SK99 core and Vectran® outer cover, the line maintains virtually zero elasticity, ensuring precise depth reference during demanding dives, while its high grip factor provides exceptional traction that Free Immersion divers immediately appreciate. The system runs on a motorised counterweight ballast capable of moving the line at two meters per second for fast and controlled retrieval, with a 20 kg bottom weight ensuring vertical stability. Bottom tags and an underwater camera allow accurate depth verification and post-dive review, while a dedicated operator manages line setup, official countdown, sonar monitoring, and overall safety coordination throughout every session.
wetsuits
Thermal protection is provided through performance wetsuits constructed with high-grade Yamamoto 45 neoprene. Available in 3 mm and 5 mm configurations, these suits allow divers to maintain relaxation and freedom of movement during repeated depth exposures while preserving core temperature stability.
Dry Training
Adaptation continues beyond in-water sessions through dedicated breathing, mobility, and strength tools. Yoga mats and stretching blocks support recovery and range-of-motion work, while spirometry and oxygen saturation monitoring provide feedback on physiological adaptation. An Endless Rope Trainer allows technical rehearsal of Free Immersion mechanics and controlled development of pulling strength outside the water.
dive gear
Masks, snorkels, and weighting systems are configured to allow accurate buoyancy control and comfortable surface preparation. Neck weights ranging from 0.9 kg to 2.2 kg, silicone weight belts, and modular weight increments enable precise adjustment across disciplines, exposure suits, and individual body profiles. This level of tuning supports stable positioning and efficient descent mechanics during training.
